2007 FEBURARY RACE

The first race took place in Granville Island, a famous montage tourism attraction and market for locals. Yet, even though the theme of 2007 The Amazing Hunt is “expect the unexpected”, there were already many unexpected moments in this race.
The weather is extremely nice for a day like this in Feburary. But, the participants may only jog through out the entire race put some physical constrain on some of the participants. Searching route markers appeared to be difficult for some and some tasks caused teams to struggle and took time penalty in order to move on. The long-time-no-see Fast Forward finally available for the teams to claim but it didn’t guareentee a first place at the pit stop for one team. Later on, an eating challenge almost cause a gag-reflex on some. But, the beer drinking roadblock made the women excel while the men suffered. The new twist “Intersection” surprisingly caused lead teams to fall behind, and the teams in the back of packs to gain their momentum. In the end, Christian and Damon survived a 20-minute time-penalty and won the race by merely seconds. Looking back, it proved that good strategy, skilled navigation, and luck can affect the result of the race. So, everyone indeed has an equal share of winning and it has nothing to do with your physicality or your age.
